It would be an upgrade but not worth it I think. B580 people say is a good alternative for a 4060TI competitor for people who can barely afford a 4060. 3060TI->4060TI would be only a single generational uplift and usually single generational gains aren't worth it.

I don't think so. Next generation C cards might be worth it more, two generational uplift would be someting like a 5060TI but seeing how 50 series cards are just OC'd 40 series cards, go 60 series NVIDIA and should be out by then as well as AMD cards.

The B580 isn't a big improvement over the RTX 3060 Ti. The two trade blows in some situations, and while you gain 4GB of VRAM, you lose out on Nvidia's feature set - the biggest loss being DLSS. You also have worse compatibility with older games and spotty compatibility with the newest titles on release to worry about.

Since you mainly play one game, and that game isn't a particularly popular one, the real question is how well that game performs with those two cards. And with Intel cards, the even bigger question is: does the game work? Do you know if Intel Arc is able to run Moral Online 2 without issues?

TechPowerUp says the RTX 3060 Ti is 1% better relative performance lol. Obviously graphics cards are a lot more nuanced than that.

I don't understand why you would even bother upgrading the GPU (or any component) if you're not least getting like a +30% performance increase.

I'm personally still on RTX 2080 Ti and I was really tempted to get an RTX 5070 Ti because it's 104% better and I was able to buy it at $750 MSRP. But I decided I could wait another generation.

If you want to downgrade your GPU, sure

If anything, your 5800X might make it much slower than the 3060Ti in some of your games. Exponential overhead on older CPUs apparently from the driver being extremely taxing.

Hard to tell, also could have just asked that too. Maybe it will be as good as 3070/4070, that depends how well Intel's GPU improves. You could also aim at 9070 or 7900 XT or something if you plan to buy later.

I have a B580 on my TV PC it runs pretty good, but I run light games that run over 100fps at 4k.  If I need something stronger I run moonlight and stream off the 4090 PC.  At least in theory, it has been turned off for 2 months...

Ask on a forum. Plus, a huge reason is Intel doesn't want so much $$$$. I would go a $400ish good 4k card instead of $1k+ on Nvidia or AMD. Plus, we have the tarrifs now.

The point is, if you dont think there is a reason and are looking for one, then dont buy it.

For a brand new PC, yes its worth buying. For someone who already owns a 3060 ti, no its not worth buying.

Its worth upgrading off of 8GB but not for 3-400 bucks with no gain in compute

Not me over here playing games at "4K" on a 3060 12GB. Thats how I played SH2 and RE7 Rebirth and RE4R.
Though yes I do think I may want a 9060xt 16GB. a 5060ti 16GB rumored price is still to high for me.

Looking at Techpowerup's review, how far did you have to drop settings on SH2 to get a playable 4k? They were getting 12 fps on a 3060 12GB. RE4 was better at 28.

DLSS Balanced
Im not saying it was the best, hair is a problem But it was only medium.
1% in the low 20s, average in the high 20s.
its a slow paced game, and a horror game, if anything being like 24 adds to the unsettling aspects (its cope)... and yes part of why im looking to get a new gpu at somepoint but I might have to put away the 4k TV on my next move so perhaps not.

RE4
I was getting 40s with 1% lows in upper 30s
Balanced FSR 2. which, again, this isnt something I want to run, but 4k TV would be happier with that then sending it a QHD signal.image.thumb.png.75ba629337a9b4e4f6a5991e49518310.pngimage.thumb.png.297935db5e8cc1121eeb043c1a72d978.pngResidentEvil44_13_20251_45_49AM.thumb.png.f151ff2f6d35751e5b850176cd742e0b.png

FF7 Getting mid 40s to 60fps depending on area
minimums are... well ff7 is a unreal game so Traversssssssssssssssssssssal stutters. but not counting those, upper 30s?
Im not going to do proper benchmarking. I assume more often the not the Dynamic resolution has me at the minimum.
