Games with best replay value?

Mooshi

A friend of mine torrented Watch Dogs and already beat the game in under 2 days. Yes, he rushed it, but still. Meanwhile, I can't even remember how many games of Civ V I've played... :P

What are some PC games you feel have the best amount of replayability?

  1. Fallout 3 - Probably my favorite RPG. Also modding is a thing with this game.

Fallout NV - Nearly as good, but lacking the "post-apocalyptic" feel. Also Modding.

Skyrim - I don't need to provide a description as to why I chose this game.

Metro 2033 + Last Light. - It's just non-linear enough to have a different experience when re-playing the game.

I know multiplayer games don't really count towards replayability, however rust is by far one of my favorite games as there is a different story every time from the time you first spawn, to the time where you either conquer the server or get conquered.

Well, Watch Dogs has replay value IMO. I beat it on normal, now I'm going back through on Realistic while doing all of the side-missions and such.

Fable: The Lost Chapters. Read all of the books within the game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat.

Populous: The Beginning. I think it's a great strategy game in my opinion.

Try rogue-likes. Pretty much any will do.

For multiplayer:

DOTA 2

Team Fortress 2

Borderlands 2 with 6 different characters, which can be built into different expertise, and with 3 story runs to complete to get ever higher chances to get higher quality loot on each one. No to mention trying to get all legendaries, if you want to waste time on that :D.

GTA: San Andreas, hands down the single player game that's eaten most of my spare time, still a great game to this day.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned World of Warcraft, i haven't raided for a few years in that game but even playing casually while hunting achievements there is literally years worth of game play there.

If you get into modding Fallout and Elder Scrolls, you are gonna spend a lot of time reading through nexus and getting stuff to work.

Not to mention troubleshooting. Also, modding Morrowind is a pain in the ass.

But once you succeed and build your own version of any of those games, you won't be able to play vanilla version, trust me.

And you're gonna overdo it, I promise. Flying trains in Skyrim, spiderman and what-not. Then you go back to stock. Play 10 minutes, give up, quit.

Mod just a bit. Play some, mod more. Get through half the game, something crashes, you can't go further...

You spend more time unpacking archives and reading instructions than actual playing, but it's worth it :P

Far Cry 2! People always underestimate or forget this game, but yesterday I finished it for perhaps the third time, the playthrough on hardest difficulty took me 60 hours.

You can have totally different playthroughs with different play-styles thanks to the open selection of weapon loadouts, and self made rules, such as deleting your save the first time you die, or only using weapons picked up from enemies.

Other than that, World of Tanks and Civ 5 have almost infinite replayability.

The Witcher 2. You pretty much only get half of the story on your first playthrough.
