Why Do I Keep Doing This...

So my best friend JJ (or so as I think) was starting to act like a dick, he his starting to hang out with bad crowds witch is turning him into a douche. Hes cool when its just me and him but if we were hanging out around town and we would go and do something they always exclude me from it...For example today, I went to the skate park with my best friend JJ, we were fine and everything, as soon as we got back to his house where his other friends were they all were like "go home Nick blah blah blah blah, we dont want you here blah blah blah" including my best friend, shit like this has been going on for months. I just dont know why I still hang out with them, dont know why I keep on running back thinking stuff will change. When ever I come home I feel depressed and sad about it. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I tried talking to JJ about it but he just makes up excuses.

 

 

What should I do?

In all seriousness, it's clear that he does not want to be around you when he is with others. Therefore, he isn't your best friend. I know, this is hard. You must have a bond with him. But you must either confront him or leave that group and make new friends. It is doing you no good dealing with the bullshit emotional stresses of asshole friends. Sometimes, you just have to let go.

He seems to act like a dick around other people like he doesn't want me their when hes with his other friends. If I hand out with his other friends all they will do is make fun of me and do stupid asshole shit to me including JJ, I just dont know why I keep on hanging out with them

I'd personally stop being friends with him. He obviously doesn't hold you to a high standard and see value in you as a friend. You can be keep relations with him as a acquaintance.

 

Talk to him and set it straight onr more time.

i wont offer you any advice, il just say this, i have been through the same, people always seem to act completely differently when they are with other people, almost as if they change personality completely, even 3 separate people that were good friends but all of them became douches when put together, kept thinking it might change for some time.. well it didn't and it wouldn't, if i confronted them they would respond as if they didn't know what i was talking about, SCREW those people, they are assholes, changing their attitude when they are with other people as if it would be embarrassing if they didn't do it, they clearly aren't very good friends.

It's pretty normal to act different around different people, however if you act in a negative sense to someone you already have a relation with while around other people so you can appease them then thats bullshit. 

 

If your friends like him, then simply end relations with him. I only see a parasitic motive there.

I went through a similar thing when i was younger.

 

I told my friend that they'd just ditch him when they got bored of him and he refused to listen.

So i just waited until the next time he and i met his friends again and he started the whole "too cool to hang out with you" bs.

And insulted them one at a time (I already knew most of them from when i was younger) And when i got to my friend who was last in the line of the people i insulted.

I just told him that his behaviour was childish and to not talk to me again until he had grown up. 

Seeing them all stand there blushing from embarrasment and then hearing their half thought comebacks when i left was soo worth it.

 

Two months later they ditched my friend and started bullying him. And when he came back i could say "I told you so" and we moved on from there^^

If it costs to much to bridge and fix relations its sometimes not worthwhile at all. Some things are worth keeping others not.
