It's pretty normal to act different around different people, however if you act in a negative sense to someone you already have a relation with while around other people so you can appease them then thats bullshit. 

 

If your friends like him, then simply end relations with him. I only see a parasitic motive there. 

yes it is, i do so myself, i function best with only one other person at a time, but you summed up it up pretty nicely in the remainder of your post. My opinion goes back to what you said in your previous post, simple and plain i can't be bothered to deal with bullshit like that, if people want to act like that then that's fine but i wont be sticking around for it, and i don't really think anyone else should put up with it either.
