How do I make my hair impeccably soft and smooth?

terrytek

Lately, my hair's been rough and dry. I found out that I've been only using shampoo, not conditioner. But it's been months since I've been using conditioner daily. I think it's too late to soften my hair. Now, I've been using Old Spice 2 in 1 conditioner/shampoo every day. Is that enough, or do I need more drastic measures, like deep conditioning?

Don't wash it each day, do it each 2 days and use conditioner. Do you have long hair? cause that depends too.

No. I have short black Asian hair. But do I still do conditioner every day or every other day?

My hair get's oily quite fast. So I do it every other day. And since it's approaching the summer season. I'd recommend to do it everyday if the heat permits. If you're like sweating pellets.

Have you tried petting it? I find that tends to soften things to you. (usually)

Do not  as I  do, and  not  as I say. Instead do as you may..

Well it will be ok, just use a conditioner more often, I like Pantene BUT that varies from person to person. I have a fair and smooth hair, lovable to the touch.

Little Baby's Ice Cream

Well, you probably shouldn't wash excessively since it can damage your hair.

My hair doesn't look oily. It's more flat.

Umm... Let me change that so I don't have to wash it so much. How does excessive washing damage hair?

Only wash your hair every other day, washing it every day dries it out.

Use separate shampoo and conditioner. Two in ones aren't that great I find.

After a while it'll be fine again.

My hair is pretty smooth as far as I know but I don't care about things like split ends.

Washing hair in general gets rid of oils that naturally maintain your hair.

oily hair means shiny hair

The best looking type of hair is curly/wavy/shiny black hair.  I used to have a fraction of that before puberty hit, but then it changed.  I have more coarse and rough hair now, paradise lost.  That is the price paid for being mixed with black and asian.  You can see glimmers of what might have have been, a path not taken, but biology took hold.

Indian guys have great looking hair, because it's more likely to be shiny black hair.
