Razer Blade 15 - Rtx 4070, Intel® Core™ i7,i7-13800H good enough for a while?

Hi Folks,

 

thinking about getting a new Gaming Laptop here in Germany and the Razer Blade 15 - Rtx 4070, Intel® Core™ i7,i7-13800H is on Sale for 2000€ which i think is pretty good.

I travel a lot for Work and staying in Hotels and mostly i carry just a Backpack and small Bag for clothes, so i need something light and thin... I´d like to play Starcraft 2, Helldivers 2, maybe War Thunder, upcoming Manor Lords and so on. I am a bit worried that 8GB of Video Ram arent enough. The Ram you can upgrade i think...

2000€ is okay, everything else with a 4080 in it, is at least 3200€. (yes, i prefer Intel and Nvidia)

You can get some higher tier laptops than 13th gen i7 and 4070 for less than 3200EUR

 

13th gen i9 ith 4080 with a slightly bigger screen for 2,600EUR?

Already seen the ASUS series (great Fan of ASUS ROG - my Tower is 90% Asus ROG) the thing is, i cant fit 17inch in my Backpack... 15 would be the best, 16 might fit... I dont need super high performance, thats why I was asking if the Razer Blade is enough.

They are super slim and light.... I got a high performance Tower at Home so thats just for being bored at Hotels. I got everything in my Backpack and a 15-16inch Laptop would fit in perfectly and they arent too heavy, cause I will be carrying them around all the Time.

 

Edit: And I just googled it - the ASUS is almost Double the Thickness of the Blade.

Ah fair enough, for both handiness and performance in one package the razer blades are hard to beat albeit a little on the pricier side, but youre paying for the ability to have all components in such a small slim package and also cooled efficiently, so sacrificing some price-performance for ergonomics essentially

Yep, exactly my point!

I know they are pricier but if the quality and performance is good enough. I am willing to pay for it, as i will take it with my all the Time. I do have a Steam Deck but barely use it, as holding it all the time is a bit annoying - used to hook it up to the Hotel TV but always carrying a Keyboard (even tho a small one) is annoying and a Blade is all in one and a lot thinner.

Sadly thats the only 15inch Blade out there... dont know if they announced any new ones this year? They seem to most care about the 16inch, as I also barely can find any reviews for the one I was asking about.

 

Just still a bit worried about the 8GB VRAM as Games or so freaking demanding nowadays...

 

And like I said... i dont need to play Games on Ultra Settings Got a PC at Home for that...

8GB is still fine as long as you pick appropriate settings for it.
