North Korea made a Wii clone console. North Korea has video games. I have so many questions. What are these consoles? Who made them? What games do they have? When compared to games from the rest of the world, are DPRK gamers getting titles that are Kim Jong Unique or are these games just same same but different? Do they have a game where you play as a plastic bag floating through the wind? So many questions!

I'm not used to see such in-depth videos from LTT, with the background infos and the glimpses into the North Korea's history... If this is the pilot for a new format, i'm all in.

 

Also, the episode made me wonder if you ever got to play with a Robotron?

This video ended up being way more interesting than I thought it would be. Not just a teardown, but a detailed breakdown of the political history that led to its creation. Kudos to all involved in the research process.

About SEK Studios, it seems that they’ve weren’t shuttered by Kim and have been actively working on Western animated shows shown on Amazon Prime & HBO Max as recently as February 2024
