Creating a home "server" (More like a powerful computer)

Building a powerful beast, but I was doubting of is the components were good or compatible because... Buying a good computer cost ELON SPACESHIP . Soooo here are my components and if there is something wrong or something that will not work, pls tell me 😀

 

Case : Corsair 1000D Obsidian (1x) 

Motherboard :  ASRock WRX90 WS Evo (1x

Fans : Corsair QX120 120mm (12x) 

CPU : AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX (96 Cores, 128 Threads) (1x) 

RAM CORSAIR Vengeance CMH64GX5M2B6000Z30 RAM DDR5 RVB 64 Go (2 x 32 Go) 6000 MHz (8 x 32) 

GPU : ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 (24GB) (2x)

Storage WD_BLACK M.2 SSD SN850X NVMe 4 To (3x) 

CPU Cooler TOUGHLIQUID 360 ARGB TRX40 AIO Liquid Cooler (1x) 

PSU : ROG THOR II 1600 W

Nothing looks incompatible but you should put all this in Pcpartpicker. May I ask what this server will be used for?

I was going to use it first for hosting servers on game and 2nd to do 3d modeling (and streaming 2) with a capture card

I would not advise to do any tasks such as dev/streaming since you might be doing port forwarding which is pretty risky imo. Correct me if I am wrong anyone tho.

spending that amount will never be justified like ever... but if you make moeny to pay it off then w/e i guess...

I'd typically recommend multiple systems here if possible. Getting a few 7950x/14900k systems would be faster for modeling/game server, and likely cheaper here too. And easier to setup and manage as well.

 

What game servers are you hosting?

 

Pretty sure that ram won't work in there as those systems are registered ecc only.

its not a nas...BUT its a beast of a computer...someday... 10 rads, 40 fans, probly 6 psu, 2 pcs, 4 loops...and all of my moeny...🤔

ya want to count them up with me hold my bear.

 

oh so bottem rads 2x 560 + 4 exhaust is 12 fans x2 both sides so 24 fans

midel will have 4 front x 2 so 8

top will have 4 fans x 2 so 8

top housing will have 2x 8 so 16...🤔

so thats oh 56 fans. plus some in psu... but who counting thows... and i could dublke that if it was push pull and all the rads... and no rads on top of the case...

and no back fans as im using a distro block there...

Wow! And wats the cooling for? Are you playing games, mining bitcoin, doin 3d ?

i play mindcraft, diablo 2, and a few other game here and there... maybe crysis one day...

its all for the fun of it.

one pc is a windows 10 for games other one is surfing the net basically.

i dont even oc... but i could🤔 ill be under ambient temp... might start freezing...🤔

I don't wanna be that guy but NASA's supercomputer leaves the most high end consumer specced out PC in the dust. Many people here are saying its not justified and its not but if you don't care about the money and you can spend that much then go for it. Godspeed to your PC 🫡
