VPN alternative

MatiMata

Basically I need another way to change my location on my PC. I work remotely, and the system will only allow access from within the country (having a local IP).
Ive been working with a NordVPN for a while which is the fastest I could get to make it work fine.
But lately it's been having issues with UPLOAD speeds, and Ive confirmed the problem is the VPN's servers, since this happens in different places I tried with different routers and connections (friend's house, my house, other person's house). I also tried a couple other VPNs and the same happens with them.
But this only happens when I connect to my home country, if I connect to other countries it works fine (upload and download are high enough).

What I want to know is if there is a possibility to make the system believe I am in my home country without using VPN server since they don't seem to do a good job.

I hope I was clear enough about my issue, anything not understood I will gladly explain.

Thanks in advance!

I would say the best option is to install a VPN on the system directly and dial into that. This way the connection in encrypted between you and whatever system you're connected to.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply

So the 'system' you using is located in your original country of origin, ur trying to access that with ur laptop outside said country but u cant get access in those situations.

Well then the only way to make the 'system' think ur local is to use a proxy / vpn. And if multiple different proxies have the same slow speeds its likely a country wide / town wide issue with the local ISP providers. In other words, nothing u can do since regardless of what u use ur still having to use the local ISP to connect to the 'system'.

Now it 'could' be the case that the local ISP are detecting VPNs and throttling those connections, in which case u'd need to try obfuscated connections. NORD has those as an option, not sure about others.

Try using a different provider. I've found that some smaller VPN providers have better service due to less overall users. The one I like is Azire VPN.

Sounds like you are trying to bypass region restrictions imposed by your company’s IT department… if so, we can’t help you with that.

If that is not what you are trying to do, I would figure out how to better describe your use case, because it certainly sounds like you are trying to use a corporate infra system outside of an approved region.

You are going about this the wrong way, if you require access to your work environment from out of the country, your best bet is to have your company's IT set you up with a solution.

Anything else is likely not going to work.

May I ask why you are asking here instead of your company IT?
