Audio problems in loud room

Good morning, everyone I have a problem I'm hoping everyone can help me with. My girlfriend and I just moved into a new condo, and we have 2 gaming setups in 1 room. The problem is that when I talk, I can hear myself on her mic and same for her (on discord and stream labs). What is the solution for this we both have Elgato Wave 3 mics. Do we need to buy new mics or is there something we can do to make these work?

Mic cross-talk and feedback can typically only be reduced/eliminated in one way: reduce the amount of gain required. Optimally, you need to have mics closer to your respective faces so you can turn them down, thus picking up less ambient noise.

Other things you can look into is sound proofing. If your room has terrible acoustics (very likely), sound panels and foam will help suck up the extra noise and keep it from bouncing back your GF's mic (and vise versa).

Move mic closer to the respective people, reduce gain, move people further away

look into sound attenuation. The cheapest way would be moving blankets or possibly heavy sound blocking curtains. The sound attenuation won't be perfect.
