How to change the start page in the edge browser?

I entered my own address to be on google.com but the Edge website with news opens anyway.

This is for the Home button, not "new tab". Edge really wants you to use their new tab page so there's no way to change it without extensions.

So when I open a new tab, the Bing website will open anyway? They did that on purpose. That's why few people want to use their product and most people download Google Chrome.

You're not opening the Bing website. Just as much as you're not opening the Google website in Chrome when you open a new tab. Opening a new tab just shows a browser specific blank page. Chrome by default contains the Google search engine and Edge uses Bing by default. You also can't change that behavior in Chrome easily.

If you really just want quick access to Google search in Edge, change the default search engine, open a new tab and type in your query into the address bar. That automatically goes to Google if you want.
