Pc wont boot with XMP?

I just noticed today that my living pc mind you was fine yesterday and has been fine aside from today, wont boot with xmp on and when it does it will say that xmp is on but on win10 as well as the bios ram speed is based 2667mhz. Thoughts?

thats probably the max rated non-xmp (jdec) ram speed your cpu supports.

post your build and lets see.

We need more system specs, what CPU, what motherboard, what RAM model number specifically, what BIOS revision, etc.?

It will have to be later today but there are 1 closest to the cpu and third one

You already transfered the ram sticks? if yes, try to remove it again and clean the contact points or the gold pins with an eraser.

 

If the problem persist, remove the power cable from the power supply, then press your power button for 15 secs so that the caps of your mobo will deplete.

 

If it still gives you black screen, try removing the cmos battery for 30secs and return it after.
