Why do I need a "dongle" for my mouse???

Since my pooter has both wifi and bluetooth, why does my mouse need the stupid dongle to work? I have a Corsair keyboard along with a Corsair mouse but for the mouse to work I have to plug in the dongle that came with it. Since my machine has both wifi and bluetooth, then why doesn't the mouse work without the dongle? Doesn't make sense to me. That dongle is just something that wastes resources if the mouse should work with the bluetooth, right????

Buy a bluetooth mouse if you want a bluetooth mouse

Because they use different protocols. Get a bluetooth device if you want bluetooth, its simple as that.

Your mouse uses radio frequencies, I know Logitech uses around 800MHZ for their meece.

RF and Bluetooth use different protocols as well as different wavelengths.

Thanks for responding and explaining the difference between the different kinds. I was under the impression that if it didn't have a cord, then it had to be either wifi (of course it wasn't that) or bluetooth. No cord = bluetooth. Never really paid that much attention to it and just stuck the dongle in to get it to work because I was thinking something was wrong with my bluetooth.
