Is this .exe a hidden virus in my system? (Microsoft edge installer)

HeyImMax

I turned on my pc and found this file named Microsoft Edge Installer taking up a lot of disk space and RAM, going to inspect it says it has been created recently (2 days ago) and has no copyright from microsoft in the details tab (Microsoft apps usually have that).

Going to inspect the location, I see that there is no "update" folder in the Edge folder, which made me think this is a virus hidden in my PC.

Should I uninstall this?

Upload the file to virustotal and see if it is or not. Your screenshots provide no information of value.

did he try Windows Search?

@HeyImMax you can even go to the microsoft folder and type Setup in search, and see that you should get like 4 of these files, then you can rightclick those and choose the option that takes you to the folder the file is inside

how do I know? I have Windows, I traced the steps and found one of them, Edge -> Application -> numbers -> Installer -> what do you see?

Type/copy/paste the whole path manually, it could be a hidden folder.

Yes but that particular instance of the file isn’t.
