Wolfenstein: The New Order

So i was thinking about getting Wolfenstein: The New Order right? Although I was wondering if you need to play any of the previous games in the series to understand the story line etc...

I think the game is going to be fun, it seams to have a good plot and strangely looks different then most games.

The story is different than the original.  You do not need to have played previous games.  As for buying it and playing it I would highly recommend you don't.  It is beyond horrible.  Stupid AI all through the game, stealth that just isn't implemented well, graphics that are average and so while you get a poor SP game you don't get eye candy to make you forget about the bad game, too many areas where there is nothing in terms of enemies, etc etc etc

The game is a little easy on normal difficulty so id recommend youd play on the 2nd highest or highest difficulty. Dont ask for an opinion on a forum about a game, youll never get an answer.

In other places I talked of this game I did mention the facial graphics were horrid.  Also sorry but the environment isn't top notch also.  Just go on YouTube and you will see a video comparing low to the highest settings and there is not much graphical difference. It is not a great looking game.  Also I saw this game played on the hardest difficulty and the AI was borderline retarded.  Do not buy this game op.

If you have to play it yourself if you can rent the game on console do it or buy it from a store that is similar to Origin that lets you return it if it completely stinks and you want your money back.  Forget the internet fight deal.  This game truly stinks and I am definitely being objective about it cuz I wanted to love this game so much and it is just a complete turd from what I have seen of it.  I really love first person shooters but I have to draw the line somewhere on what I will and will not play for what they are charging for this game now.

Oh and on that note if it is so good why are online key sellers selling it for dirt trying to get rid of the thing?

I will get it at some point. Probably in the Steam Summer sale if it is cheap enough that is. I would pay £20 for it. As long as the game is 20 hours that is because if it's less more like 7 hours I will pay £10. Their was a rip off in most people opinion simply because the game was expensive and didn't last that long neither did Titans Fall or DIshonoured.

The reason peoe are saying its bad is because people are expecting a Triple A title, Its not a Triple A title. If you expect a Triple A title, of course you are going to think its bad. If you lower your expectations, and stop expecting this phenominal game, its a very good game.

They are charging a AAA price for the game initially so expectations should be high and to me they did not meet them.

Theres where you went wrong, your expectations were way too high, just because it didnt meet your expectations, DOES NOT make it a bad game.

By the way, only AAA titles are advertised. You didnt see any commercials or any YouTube ads on Wolfenstein. That shouldve been a slap to the face to lower your expectations before u started playing.

but that's Youtube, highly compressed streaming video. Games always look better when You actually play them because your VGA renders each pixel faithfully and sends it the monitor (bit perfect).

It doesn't look like a $70 game. But for 20-30 when it drops sure. There hasn't been an FPS in a while where I can shoot the shit out of everything for 6-7 hours and then go back to my RPG's for the next ten years.   Might not be as good as the originals, but still a decentish game. And every review everywhere basically says it's good.

False statement.  There are legit reviews out after GameSpot and IGN gave their payolla reviews and they gave the game a 6 or even less I believe.  The game's AI ruins everything.
