Creative Director of Watch Dogs: GTX 670 Enough to Max out Watch Dogs.

Assassin

So according to the creative director of Watch Dogs a GTX 670 is enough to max out the game. Although he did not mention the resolution and said that you need a decent CPU. But who cares? Resolution is just a number right?

Anyways here is the tweet by the director himself:

https://twitter.com/Design_Cave/status/468385080973352961

What he basically said:

post-18995-0-06302600-1400543816.png

Edit:

looks a 780ti with a 4770K will only yeild 50-60FPS. But I have a feeling these numbers from the director are BS.

The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.

GTX 670 is what the developers have. I'm thinking GTX 660 might be enough too.

No one is pushing the industry. I want it to be so hard that a GTX 780 can't max it, and that forces nvidia and amd to speed up release schedules.

You're Nvidia's wet dream costumer. Someone willing to splash 500 dollars every year for a new GPU.

Well, as the owner of a GTX 670 this is good news. :)

Just because something doesn't require immense resource in order to run doesn't necessarily mean it's weak, it could just mean it's well optimized and put together.

What. The. Fuck. So that means that my 4770K and GTX 780 will yield 40 fps?

i don't. That's not pushing the industry. That's bad optimization.

As long as its over 30 on my rig I'll be happy.  Of course over 60 would be ideal but who am I kidding when I expect WD to run at 60+ fps on 1440p Ultra.

exactly. I have never understood this pc gaming fettish for games that run badly. I want the GPU power to be utilized properly. To create beautiful visuals and high framerates. Not to run a slideshow so that they can claim to be demanding.

Oh no. Quite the opposite. I just want GPU makers to realize that their current product stacks are inadequate. I feel like a lot of tech companies are just sitting on their butts, trying to make as much of a profit as they can on old products. I want the game to be soooo beautiful on ultra that when you max it out with two titan blacks, you feel like this is better than any other game, AND that we need more performance. We need another Crysis.

A GTX670 can run the game on Ultra ?! No Way :o (Sarcasm)
Their is no game to date that I couldn't run on Ultra with that card.

What ever. TBH, although graphics are nice and people want more powwaaahhh. A 670 will do for the next 2-3 years unless something revolutionary comes....

Arma 2,3

Nothing can run them 1080p Ultra 60fps

I get 40-50FPS in ARMA 3 Ultra with 2xAA+SMAA which is still enough to play it and have a good experience.

I get 40FPS in Crysis 3 on Ultra and I played through the hole game on highest difficulty.

The only games I need 60+Fps are competitive shooters.

That wasn't just a rumour. The devs earlier said that the "recommended" specs included a 780 (the required was much lower).

I expect that is still the case.

My guess is that "Ultra" settings don't count full AA, and I'm going I'd put money on a 780 still being needed for 60fps 1080p with everything maxed,

I really hope that it's ultra at 60fps with a 670 even though frame rate is just a number. Either way I'd love for this game to give me a reason to overclock my processor and graphics card a little more.

I hope that my 780Ti will run it at 1440p with EVERYTHING at max. It couldn't do that with AC4.
