Jerry Rig Knife variances

I just bought a second knife and it is like a third lighter than the first one I got. A really noticeable difference when you hold it. What other than the outside walls are different between these? Is this just a thing with the clear plastic or did the metals change at some point too? The red one is like a year older than the clear one.

Uhm, maybe the side panels being plastic instead of metal? Unscrew both and check the weight of the internals alone

I suspect that may be the case now yes. The red knife is just colder to touch over the clear one too.
