Digital TV can't pick up digital TV signals.

I have a digital tv and my cable provider recently switch to digital. But all I get without paying extra for their DTA is like haveing digital antenna.

And It has to be there DTA. A friend with the same provider tryed with a generic one and all he got was digital antenna channels.

It's standard practice for cable companies to encode their digital streams, which is why you need a decoder. That's one of the ways those companies make extra money. Personally I don't bother with tv anymore.
