TV stand companies

tdkid

i think this belongs here but not sure as it falls under a few topics.

what i am looking for is a company that makes a TV stand with a good reputation. the stand needs to be tabletop or whatever you want to call the standard TV with feet as i can not do wall mounting and the TV sits on my dresser. basically the only info i think you would need is to know i am looking to buy a 55" TV and the TV i want doesnt come with a stand, i would have to buy one which is no problem as most people have to buy a wall mount when they want to mount the TV on the wall, this is just reversed. i know of a few companies like Sanus, perlegear, greenstell and onn (walmart), but i would like to know what other companies people have heard of, what they think about them and what reviews these companies have so i can decide for myself what to get.

thanks to everyone who reads my rambling.

@VIVO-US

Not that I ever tried the brand myself, ordering to my country gonna cost me a hefty amount in shipping fee.

But yea so far their rep in this forum usually shows up when called upon.

IIRC Linus used their table legs (and/or probably monitor mount) at some point, can't remember which video.

edit: found it

VIVO or Perlesmith. I have three TVs on Perlesmith stands. They're not amazing but they've been pretty good.

We do have a few different options that will work well for the LG G3 55".

Tabletop:

Basic - https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Universal-Screen-Table-STAND-TV00Y/dp/B01N0VNIA9

Premium - https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Tabletop-Television-600x400-STAND-TV07A/dp/B0B7CRRFZ3

Floor stand:

Tripod - https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Artistic-Adjustable-Management-STAND-TV65B/dp/B0B4VGLMVX

Corner with shelving - https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Adjustable-Platforms-600x400mm-STAND-TV75BH/dp/B0BVRQBYNY

Ambient RGB - https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Artistic-Lighting-Adjustable-STAND-TV70D/dp/B0979GRRWK

Cart - https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Mobile-Trolley-Locking-STAND-TV04M/dp/B07581Z9SM

We do have other options beyond those, and if we don't carry a stand you quite like for your TV, then there are other manufacturers who also offer good options that will fit the TV's 55" size, 40lb weight and VESA 300x200mm mounting holes.  Whichever you decide to get, we hope it works well for you!

how can this be considered premium? https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Tabletop-Television-600x400-STAND-TV07A/dp/B0B7CRRFZ3 it doesnt look like it can hold itself up let alone a 40+ pound TV on top of it. and i am looking for table top. the stand has to sit on top of my dresser which has a big vanity mirror behind it.

the other options is kind of what i was looking for. not "well i dont like any of these what else you got?" but i wanted to know which companies you have heard of, used, or know about so i could do my own research on them to see if they would work for me. the companies i have here are mainly Sanus and ONN (walmart). on amazon i have seen several for perlegear which is a UK based company and greenstell which is a chinese company.

The legs of the TV stand have metal reinforcement and extend far enough forward to give it some very good stability.  We made sure the design was thoroughly tested for strength and stability (rated for up to 88lbs, managed 200lbs in testing without failure), and customer feedback has been very positive so far.

I can't comment on the other manufacturers' products specifically, but I'm sure there are others around here who've used them and can offer some insight.

well i know its all metal with just the "wood" parts being painted up to look like wood but it just loos so flimsy to me even in the video. i am looking for a table top swivel stand though so i will look into it more. and i know you are biased on it, you kind of have to be, and i understand that. its just i want what is best for me as everyone does. returning things that you find out too late dont work are a pain to deal with.

edit. i think linus helped you test out the weight limit of your products in this video posted in the 1st reply to this topic. My monitor just got an UPGRADE - YouTube

I just watched the video on the Amazon page.

Why does it matter if it "looks" flimsy if it functionally is not...? The guy in the video adjusted it twice and it didn't bounce up or down like, say, a laptop screen. It looked smooth and rigid.

if it looks flimsy then there is a better than average change that it is, or that is the 1st impression people get from seeing something for the first time. doesnt really want to make you buy the product if its just going to fall over because it can not actually support what it says it can. now i said this because if you look at the pieces that are supposed to support the TV, it does in fact look weak with how small the brackets are, the single thin looking rod to support the entire TV. the plastic looking swivel points so it can turn, it all just looks weak to me. if its not then great, all i am asking for in this topic is for people to mention or reccomend a company that makes TV stands so i can do my own research on them so see what works for me and what i like.

Just going to put this out there. I own 2 VIVO stands. One for my 32" TV and one for an Ultrawide monitor. Both have been rock solid. While I cant speak for that stand specifically I can say that over all I have been happy with the products I have purchased.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Used that one with a 48" LG C1. Worked great until I went to a wall mount. Very stable even when swiveled. Too many options had split feet or glass bases that are likely fine for light TVs. Didn't feel safe putting an OLED on it.
