TrueNAS Used Space Mismatch - Missing 5TB

Hi all,

 

I've been running the current iteration of my server for just over a year now and I realised that I had been running a little low on space lately (I thought 30TB usable would be more than enough, oh well) so was clearing out projects older than 6 months when I noticed that the space used for one of my datasets (Projects Recent) was about 5TB larger reported in TrueNAS vs in Windows. I expected a little bit of variation but as you can see from my other two datasets, they match well enough so any idea where my missing 5TB has got to?

Did you enable the recycle bin on this share? If so it probably needs emptying.

Alternatively, have you been doing automatic snapshots? What’s the timeframe on those? In ZFS this is the difference between “Used” and “Referred” - Referred being the current data, and Used including snapshots.
