I need a new PSU for 2070 Super

SusMan23

Hello, i was searching for a new PSU and wanted to ask if anyone had experience with JUSTOP CIT 80 Plus 700W ATX  and if it's fit for my 2070 super.

Just looked it up and yeah that is an absolute dogshit power supply. Here's the label showing how many amps it delivers on each rail. The +12V rail, which powers your cpu and gpu, only shows 34A which means it can deliver 408W on the +12V rail (34 amps times 12 volt = 408 Watt). So don't think of this as a 700W psu because it's not. It's a shit tier 408W power supply. Only the +12V matters for powering your cpu and gpu and this is a 408W power supply posing as a 700W one. Do not buy and if you have bought it and can't return it you'd be better off throwing it in the trash than using it.

The guys who built that psu didn't get good grades in math

I'm willing to swim against the current.

This one costs 50 pounds more than amazon has that trash tier PSU for, but it's a legit 850W with a seven year warranty and is A-Tier on the Cultists list

I don't really need that much power, the last PSU was a 450w and it was in the build when the pc arrived, it lasted for over a year so 550-600 should be fine.

I have an i7 9700 and 2070 super (8GB)+ 2tb HDD and 500GB SSD, 16 GB of DDR 4 ram 2666

600W should be fine if it's a reasonably decent power supply. I only recommended the 850 because it was the cheapest Corsair RM on UK Amazon and those are good enough PSUs that you get a 7 year warranty instead of the standard 3 years. Anything you see on the Cultists list I posted a link to earlier rated C-Tier or higher that is 600W or more would be fine though. A good 450W psu is definitely enough to power a 2070 Super and a 9700. I was using a BitFenix Formula Gold 450W for a while to power an RX 6700 XT and an i5-12400F, but that's also an A-tier psu. But better to go to say 600W or more just so you're in a better place on the efficiency curve to save you a bit of money on your electric bill since running your PSU too near its limit makes it somewhat less efficient. I don't think you'd pay much more for a good 600W than a good 500W unit anyways.

Oh wait you're looking for an SFX power supply? If you have an SFX case then disregard that Corsair RM 850e recommendation.

Just find something on that list that's 600W or more and C-Tier and you should be good
