My thoughts

my two cent's are that two fold If I try to spin this in the most possetive way I can think of this might be Rockstars way to sunset GTA Online and Red dead Online but I don't think this is the case, I think this is a way for Rockstar to be able to cash grab a huge comunity they previosly couldn't monetise and that took up 99% of all content online and what kept the purches of GTA V still going and they are going to screw it all up

So, a game company that's losing its edge by rebooting old games are taking the cake of modding to themselves, why does this smell so much like Blizzard...

Yes, but has anyone asked Buggs and Polecat what their thoughts on the matter are?

Its for worse bcz they tried to shutdown open IV and failed. Now they buy cfx.re so they can slowly kill the good part of playing gta with other people (Aka fivem) for the buggy glitchy hackery mess GTA V online is and the better minigames than what this is (Insert bad copy pasted adversary mode/or rapid fire bugged enemy in survival clip here) and updates that remove more content than it actually adds. at best it would have the same effect as the bedrock mc servers handicapped to what rockstar says so no more real brand cars and stuff. There is bad fivem servers dont get me wrong but gta online is so bad these days the fivem is a better thing to play and for rdr online it is non existent so redm is miles ahed (even tho there arent that many of them).

I just hope that Rockstar will adopt the server technology behind FiveM and use it themselves for GTA6 multiplayer, so we can get rid of the shitty Peer to Peer multiplayer that GTA4 and 5 uses. This -could- also help a lot in terms of Anti Cheat and so on, hopefully making GTA6's online mode more clean than GTA Online, in terms of modders causing havoc in online sessions etc.
