[World] Windows 8.1 Pro 32/64 $35

WillFromGA

Damnit. Just spent my remaining funds to some summer clothing. It seems though that this deal could be a bit longer-ish term deal, so I guess I can still save some money for this. I'd use that instead of the current Win 7 Pro even though I like this more than Win 8, as the Dell OEM licence for Win 7 Pro that I bought didn't work, and thus it constantly interrupts my gaming sessions every hour by notifying "This copy of Windows is not genuine. Activate it now or buy a new licence" (as a new window displayed on top of the game window).

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

For those wondering if it'll work on a clean install, all you need to do is buy the key and follow these instructions to make a USB boot device or ISO file:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows8_1-windows_install/download-a-bootable-windows-81-disc/17207153-902f-4b94-bf95-85ab70ca7064

If you're going to save it to a USB, make sure the USB is formatted as "NTSF".

Sorry for the noob question. I did the activation yesterday but didn't want to install it yet and forgot to write down my key. Is there a way for me to retrieve it or am I SOL?

Check your e-mail that you used for the purchase. There should be something like three different e-mails they sent you; one of them should have a link to the key.

Ok so I did the screen share and all that and everything went ok. I still feel weird screen sharing with someone but I wanted to make sure the Key was legit and all and it was! What a steel for like $28 too!

does anyone know how to use this product key on a brand new built system, because i am going to be building my pc in a about a week and wanted to use the key to download and install it onto my new pc. It is goign to be a fresh install onto a fresh new computer.

I have heard that i will need to install an ISO file of windws 8.1 and then put that onto a USB Stick and then boot up from my usb stick when i do my first boot of my new pc. Will this method work for me or not?

This is the product i was going to purchase:

just picked up a key for 27 bucks via a 3rd party vendor on the website....thanks! Finally time to upgrade the OS on my laptop

With today's technology I often wonder why we don't have colonies on the moon or Mars. Then I go to Wal Mart for 5 minutes and realize the vast majority of the human populace isn't ready for such things.

I am not sure if paying for Win8 worth it. Luckily i get free windows because i am a student :P  20-30$ is very reasonable though but that should be the regular price tag and not an offer.

I'm pretty sure part of the process of making the boot drive through those steps is Microsoft formatting the USB drive. I don't think you have to do anything but follow the instructions. I only say that because I made one when this post was first made and remember being prompted and having to agree to the drive being formatted.

From a gaming and regular user perspective, would it be worth it to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8/8.1 after update?

Also, if I were to buy this, would I have to clean my whole computer and do a fresh install of windows, or just download the iso, and install/burn it to disc/usb drive and install it, and have all my files intact?

Just want to say that I brought the key on may 22 and im still waiting on tech support to get my case resolved. The key did not work and BOTH support staff told me that they sent it to the G2A market managers and told me that I should be getting an E-mail in about 3 days (on May 22 and June first). I still do not have the key and my windows copy is about to expire. not really happy. would recommend going some where else.

Let me rant to you, about this CRAPPY website, G2a.com,

I decided to take the plunge, and get one of these keys for a budget build I'm working on.

Having decided that, I clicked "purchase with PayPal" so I had SOME control on if something went wrong.

I was prompted with a sign in screen, and I did, which then had a "continue" button, which FINISHED the purchase (unlike just about every other site that has another confirmation.)

This would be fine... But the site added TWO keys to my cart, and charged me accordingly.

I quickly flagged the purchase on PayPal, and "contacted" g2a. To contact them, you have to essentially send them an Email.

About a day later, they got back to me, asking six questions I answered in the first email. I responded back and forth for about a day, and they said it would be "looked at".

After about two more days, I was fed up with it, and unflagged the payment, and requested my two keys.

I then contacted them again. I was then told I had to wait, as the issue was being elevated. After another day, I was told I needed to unflag the payment (which I had done), and then they could get me my key.

Upon telling them that I unflagged the issue, I was told I would have to be transfered to a different management.

FOUR DAYS later, I still had not heard from them. I contacted them through their little chat thing, and requested my keys, and gave them the situation. They told me I needed to send an email to a DIFFERENT email, and forward my PayPal email that said my dispute was closed. Upon doing this, I'm ticked off, still don't have my keys, and need to find something to do with an extra Windows 8.1 Pro Key. (Maybe I'll do some sort of give-away)...

I just got this email from them, moments ago. It read...,

"Hello,

Apologize for inconvenience. I have to forward your issue to Complaint Department. Our specialist will contact you soon, please await response.

Regards,

Mike"

Which is the same response I got when I waited four days.

Update:

To my pleasure, I got another response very fast. (An hour or two... "fast")

They said they were having their "Paypal experts" look into it, and it should be resolved quickly.

Fingers crossed!

They ended up giving me a refund for one (even though I didn't ask for it), and gave me the second key. This works fine for me, as I only actually needed one key.

I'll be using it tomorrow, so I'll report back if it works.

TL;DR

This has been a terrible experience... 1. They're in a random country (for me), so I can't call unless It's like three in the morning... 2. Their customer service is terrible. 3.Their management refuses to respond for days. 4. I'm out 56 bucks, without my keys.

I got one key, refund for the second. Testing soon.

Hello, guys, I am a total newbie here. After reading these 7 pages, I gained some knowledge about it. So, I will be building pc tonight. So, in order to install a window 8.1 on a brand new pc, I will need a bootable usb. i am planning to buy key from g2a.

1. I will download ISO from microsoft by using a laptop. ISO is a file right? and can i download it directly from microsoft right?

2. Then i will save the ISO into USB.

3. Then I will plug the USB into my new pc and installing the window.

4. In the process, the window will require me to enter a valid product key.

So this is the whole process right?
