  1. yep, definitely getting the Kaby Lake version And yes, you can get a power bank for it, but its stupid expensive for 12000mah, so I would rather just carry the charger round. Plus i dont need 12000mah of weight dragging my backpack down through the day
  2. Amazed at the prices, but no good option for myself to suit my needs. Dell XPS 13 it is then. I was getting attracted to the shiny lights and the "cool" Razer logo. Dell is much more practical for my needs. And also Razer has a RGB keyboard and #F*CKRGB
  3. I highly doubt ill be able to fork out that extra money for a razer core and a gpu. Plus i already have a gaming rig at home so i'm not looking at the razer core at all. Just need the laptop itself.
  4. Hey, I originally ordered a Dell XPS 13 a few weeks ago, but the delivery company lost the package and I got my money back. Now I need to get a laptop, but not sure on whihc one to get. My options consist of: - The new Dell XPS 13 (http://www.dell.com/uk/p/xps-13-9360-laptop/pd?oc=cnx93603&model_id=xps-13-9360-laptop) or - The new Razer Blade Stealth (http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-blade-stealth) The only major difference between the two is that the Razer has lower the amount of storage, however it has a higher resolution display and its touch enabled. The price is the same for both machines as I can get a student discount on the Dell, which lowers the price down to the same as the Razer. I will mainly be using the laptop for uni, and need something light, small and reliable which offers good battery life and performance as i'll need it for Windows Visual Studio. Thanks
  5. That is exactly what is attracting me to the XPS plus the newer generation cpu. Do you know if the RAM and Storage is upgradable?
  6. I am debating on which laptop I should get, but am stuck between the Dell XPS13 and the Hp Spectre. They both do seem like very good laptops, even though they may be considered to be two different things.I will link the two down below and just wanted to get some more opinions on which is better for the price for performance and usability. If you have any other suggestions, then I would appreciate that too Dell XPS13(£999- 12% special offer= £879.12) - http://www.dell.com/uk/p/xps-13-9360-laptop/pd?ref=121_title&oc=cnx93601&model_id=xps-13-9360-laptop HP Spectre X360(£999- £100 student discount=£899) - http://store.hp.com/ukStore/Merch/Product.aspx?sel=NTB&id=ECC_BUNDLE_6112280&opt=&p=c-spectre-x360
  7. Hi hardware_guy

I have come accross your post about the Kingston HyperX Cloud II headset and it's compatibility with the PS3. I am in te market for a PS3 headset and I am considering the Gold Wireless Headset and the Kingston HyperX Cloud II. According to reviews the HyperX has better sound.  I want to use the headset on PC and PS3 and possibly the PS4 in the future. (I am not concerned about the mic not working on PS3.)

According to your post the HyperX does not work well with the PS3. Is it possible that the headset will work using the PS3 RCA (red/white) cable from the PS3 connected to one of these (Stereo Splitter-3.5mm Jack to 2-RCA Jacks Audio Adapter)? https://www.amazon.com/Manhattan-inches-Stereo-Splitter-3-5mm-Adapter/dp/B0009JFF7A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1465514261&sr=8-3&keywords=rca+3.5mm+female&tag=rnwff-20

Then use the 3.50mm jack from the headset and plug it into the adapter?

    Appreciate your feedback.

    Regards

That adapter will only work for the sound from the console to the headphones, it will not do anything with the microphone. The red and white wire are both a one channel audio track (so together stereo) which does not carry any audio back.

The PS3 console only works with USB microphones too. I have one of those adapters which I got with my Turtle Beach headset, but the headset itself had a 3.5mm jack and also a USB jack. The 3.5mm was for game sound and the USB jack was for my microphone.

  8. BF4 if you want to start now, or wait till BF1 if you have the patience
  9. I looked into the logs and found out that its a problem a lot of people have had. It is able to get fixed by disconnecting unnecessary peripherals whilst playing as GTA V for some reason cant handle them and crashes DX, causing a black screen which is unable to boot back into desktop.
  10. What do u mean by a 'Power Virus'? I haven't experienced this on other games though, just GTA V. Was playing BF4 for an hour or two 2 days ago and it was running perfectly fine
  11. I just ran the FurMark benchmark for 16 minutes, and it hit a max temperature of 86c, whilst it maintained an average FPS of 28.
  12. No, I'm connected by DVI I ran the GTA V benchmark and it hit a max of 70c, with an average of 67c. And I will try it with HDMI tomorrow see if that makes a difference
  13. Hi, I just got GTA V for the PC and I'm running it with a GTX that has 4gb of VRAM. However to when playing it, at random times my screen goes black, Windows makes a sound when you disconnect something and then the monitor doesn't get any signal. However the computer is still running and pressing any buttons doesn't wake the PC back up to display on the monitor. Some solutions I've tried is: - uninstalling the gpu driver and reinstalling the latest driver - uninstalling the gpu driver and installing the driver when I had none of these issues - I have also tried running the game at lower settings and the ones geforce experience recommended However, doing all this still does not fix the problem and the only way to boot back into desktop is via the restart button on the PC or by a hard shut down. Anyone know any solutions for this as I've only started to experience this over the past 3 days and before that all was well and normal. Thanks
