Get the Gigabyte M28U or Sony Inzone M9 for better Hdr.

The Cooler Master GP27U has a few firmware issues being ironed out, but has amazing HDR and local dimming that's worth something. Doesn't have as amazing darks like OLED, but fewer risk factors, great text clarity. Rtings gave it a solid review.

And now there's INNOCN's 27M2V, which has double the dimming zones (1,152) and fewer issues with features working together (VRR, local dimming, HDR) that the Cooler Master was working out. No major review from places like Rtings yet, but early monitor forum reviews are solid. I've got one on the way, expected Tuesday.

the gp27u is the best choice if you can find one, firmware issues are overblown.

I have been looking at the Innocn 32" model and trying to figure out if it's worth the money or not, I have never heard of this company but man is it tempting.

For what it's worth, I ended up buying the INNOCN 27" version. Love it so far. Granted that the 32" is much slower, but all 32" are compared to 27". If you're not an extreme enthusiast who claims they can see difference between 360Hz and 500Hz, my guess is it wont' be awful!

That's good to know.

I have old man eyes now days so I can't even tell the difference once you get above 144, i am more interested in the mini-LED aspect.

You generally have a choice of 27-28 inches monitor and 31-32, there's no 30 inches and for 4k you really benefit from something bigger, I'll say looking for 32 is better than just sticking with 27-28 or the none-existence 30 inches.

Pretty much the best overall option you can get is the Neo G7 (the fastest and the best possible HDR on any LCD) or G8 (really not worth it but not all country have access to G7), Cooler Master Tempest is a good budget option as someone already mentioned or if you really don't care about HDR, there are the usual Gigabyte, MSI, and LG options

What are your expressions about it after some time of use? Have you experienced any issues with the monitor? In particular does it have a Coil Whine?

I have myself tested a Viewsonic vx2781-4k-pro but had to have it returned because of a Coil Whine. It wasn't loud but if was disturbing for me, because I usually work on my monitor in a very quiet environment. Was a great monitor by the way.

I cannot speak to coil whine. I have not heard anything personally, but I do NOT work in a quiet environment. My work laptop sits next to that monitor and has a fan that I hear, but I don't hear something directly from the monitor. What's more, on my personal PC, I always play music or baseball games while working, and if gaming the sound is up pretty loud or I have headphones on.

The monitor and I have had some ups and downs. For one thing, I seemingly can't use the HDMI 2.1 plug with ease because of two reasons:

(1) In one game only (WoW), the screen goes black randomly and for several seconds while playing at 4K via HDMI 2.1, and in one single instance of web browsing after playing WoW, I saw distinct flickering on the browser window. It is only one game that had this issue with HDMI 2.1, but I've decided to stick with DP instead. I'm running WoW at 1440p and limited to 120 fps on the INNOCN, and using DP, and haven't had an issue since.

(2) With the HDMI connection, I had wake-up issues between my two computers. I have 2 monitors. INNOCN is connected to work laptop and my PC. My 2nd monitor is connected only to my PC. If my work laptop was using the INNOCN, and my PC turned off monitors while idle for more than 30 minutes, when I moved my PC mouse to wake up screens, my 2nd monitor refused to wake up until I went to INNOCN and switched it from laptop to PC. Then when INNOCN switched over from laptop to PC, the 2nd monitor would wake and be just fine. This happens even when 2nd monitor is set as primary monitor on my PC.

But man, for gaming experience, the local dimming is great. I drive it with a 4080 FE, and games look amazing. I'm actually probably CPU bottlenecked a bit with a Ryzen 5600x, but I'm still enjoying 90+ fps on newer games like Wonderlands.
