how are gesture navigations obtained in websites such as linustechtips?

on the touchpad on my laptop, sliding with two fingers wither left or right, I can go back or forward in the page

and a similar icon is shown

 

how is this archived?

 

I think that's website dependant, because it does not work everywhere, and the graphic is different

I think that's website dependant, because it does not work everywhere, and the graphic is different

2 finger scroll from left of your track pad opens up this. it is dependant on the browser and have nothing to do with the website it works on every website you visit. The color difference maybe caused by the Dark/light mode
