The rules also don't state that the given examples are exhaustive. Rule 3 even explicitely says "but not strictly limited to" before starting the list. You asked "How do I get/do X?", which is asking support. Rule 3 doesn't allow support questions, and thus they deemed it lock-worthy. The moderator provided your answer, be it extremely concise. They could leave it open, but you'd get a hundred people giving you that same link with more or less words surrounding it.

How are they lazy? A thread was auto-locked, a mod checked and provided your answer. The only thing unlocking would result in is likely repetition of the same answer. Like I said, you can argue about how they run their ship, but this is how they have chosen to run their ship.
