5800x3D or 5950x for gaming and streaming?

Upgrading from the 3900x and was looking at getting one of these CPUs to max out and live on the am4 platform for a few more years, I mainly game but looking to get back into streaming as well, have heard that the 5800x3D is better for pure gaming but can't be overclocked sadly so not sure if I should go for the 5950x instead to overclock it in the future, any advice here would be awesome thanks!

I went from 3900X to 5800X3D and it's a huge jump in performance in games. 

Unless you need to use CPU encoding I don't see any reason to go with 5950x.

What GPU are you using?
The 3900x is pretty good for gaming. If you wait a few years, the 5800x3d might be a lot cheaper

Got a 3090 evga ftw3 ultra and Im able to get the 5800x3D for $500 aud

I'd wait for Ryzen 7000X3D. Sould be announced early this month.

If there is also budget for a MB and RAM.  This is a tough decision.  I consider 8/16 the very minimum.

DDR5 has gone down in pricing a fair bit - 32GB  6000MT/s RAM costs under 200€ which I'd consider decent value ($175€ here).

Motherboards are very expensive.  MC still has 32GB for free with a 7000 series processor.  I'm not ready for a whole new platform since I consider 12 cores the minimum for me, but I did just get a 7700x with the free memory for Ebay.

Not overly but it would still be a $1k+ spend for me for 64GB, 7900/7950x and MB or about $500 after selling what I have.  Not a huge amount but I just got a 4900 and am fine with current CPU speed.  I'd like to upgrade to 8000x3d.
