3070 Ti Founders Edition Ebay Purchase..

PompeyPlay

Hey guys, so I am building my first PC after using a prebuilt for years. Went on ebay, made a silly bid of $250 on a 3070 Ti Founders Edition. The seller confirmed my purchase for $220. I was super excited but now I am worried that it is going to be fake and I am stressing because ebay will not let me contact him for some reason. What is the chances I got scammed? I will update you all if anything changes.

I dont see why this matters. Ebay has fine buyer protection, and the card has already been shipped. There's nothing you can do anymore besides wait for it to arrive and to check and benchmark it when it does.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

I'd be more worried that the listing can't be pulled up anymore.

Get video of you opening the box.

True, found it myself. Really weird.

The only differenciating thing I can find on that listing vs all others is a "Benefits charity" tag. Think that maybe forces Ebay to not display listing once sold? My heart's telling me the key is the tag.

Benefits charity has no effect on the listing after the auction is done.

I can't even message the guy anymore but I will definitely record myself opening the box once it is here. I went from super excited to super worried real quickly. Hoping for the best but I do not really think there is anything I can do at this point but wait. It arrives on November 28th.

You dont have to wait to start a claim. Since you cant contact them, it would be a clear indicator and they can start getting your money back already.

I am, however, very curious what you'll receive in the box scheduled for 28 Nov delivery

A box of rocks?

An Nvidia 670?

An Nvidia 2070?

An empty box?

Peanut Butter?

The possibilities are nigh endless.

The classic!

I remember that during the panini scammers were trying to charge exorbitant prices for just the empty GPU box with no card included
