Screwdriver Testing

Can we get voltage insulation testing with the screwdriver? Maybe with labs32? This would still be helpful to know for my job. I work with 24VDC mostly but a bit of 120VAC. Most manufacturers only show a rating when it can handle 600V, and I have special set for working on 480VAC, which will kill you, or worse, send you to the hospital (I'm in the US).

So LTT did very well in the testing, and it appears that every claim they made that I can recall seems to have held up as true. The only part that surprised me was that the PB did so much better than everyone else in the magnet test. But either way this should put to rest the argument that the ltt driver is an overpriced youtuber merch money grab. When you put it up against its competition it proved its value IMO

I'm not a lawyer (despite the username), but I'd guess that having a voltage insulation rating would open LTT up to all kinds of liability if someone were to get hurt using the tool. It doesn't make sense to do unless they're specifically targeting a market that *needs* insulated tools.

Basically a spam comment, OP is asking about voltage insulation testing specifically. Project Farm didn't test that.

100% spam content, I agree.  Though my opinion on Project Farm holds a lot of weight in certain communities, so I am hoping to reach out to them and support their agenda.

 

In the vein of "following the topic" why the someone cares about LTT Screwdriver's voltage is beyond me.  Use one of the 100's of proven specific insulated drivers out there.

 

Edit: I thought about it, it's a wonderful product and probably the best driver for the money.

I'm not going to get into the rest of your comment, but yes, OP should just use the insulated tools they already have, and people who need insulated tools should just buy tools designed for that purpose.

it's not rubberized or otherwise specifically insulated?  So I wouldn't use it for that type of stuff normally.
