Is the price justifiable or not?

So a laptop was given for free for select public school teachers in my country.

The specs are as follows;

- Dell Latitude 3420 Laptop

Processor: 2 Core Intel Celeron 6305 1.8 GHz, 4mb cache

Memory: 8Gb DDR4, 3200 MHz, SODIMM

Screen Size 14" FHD 1920x1080 6Hz, Anti-glare, non - touch

The transfer reciept given listed the laptop at approximately 1000 USD. Is the price justifiable for the specs and included hardware and software?

Dell Latitude/precision= 2x normal price because "professional". But seriously, it like a 400ish USD device that because it's for education/professionals, they can double the cost and it doesn't make a difference.

I'm not sure how much the licenses for those Microsoft products, but I can't imagine the price being more than $200.

The laptop itself is quite expensive for what it is, I can't even find listings with Celeron CPU, I mean the ones with 11th gen i3 costs about $730, a Celeron one has to be cheaper than that.

Also depends where you are. If outside the US: you also face taxes and such on the purchase, so if you've got a 10% import duty, and a 20% VAT and 15% sales tax it gets expensive quickly as well.

This laptop is 350$ elsewhere.

 

This is a MASSIVE ripoff for a very very low end extremely slow crappy laptop
