Upgraded my PG35VQ to the PG32UQX

I wonder why you didn't consider the Neo G7? It seems to be a lot more reasonable, sitting at a 50% discount compared to the PG32UQX.

The PG32UQX is a monitor trying to be for gamers and content creators alike, but doesn't manage to deliver top-tier performance in either of the two. And at this price anything below top-tier is unacceptable imo.

I would be interested in your experience comparing the 512 zone VA and 1000+ zone IPS monitor in terms of blooming. Which is more noticeable?

to be honest, the blooming/haloing is more noticeable on the PG32UQX compared to my PG35VQ. Also, the blacks seems a lot more blacker on the PG35VQ.

You're just too elitist and think what applies to you applies for everyone. I owned the PG35VQ for over a year now before i decided to resell and replace it with a C2 OLED. Please stop throwing around dumb comments like this.

Also, it's not illegal to talk about products you don't own. There are plenty of resources online to be able to build an opinion.

Funny I have seen a lot false, inadequate resources to build a false opinion

I personally tried it with a 48 inch oled before and it was giving me headaches. For me the sweet spot for a gaming monitor is 32 inches. Anything bigger than that i'd rather play on the couch on my ps5. Those big displays are really not meant as desk monitors to be honest.

Odd.  I like having multiple browsers/programs/documents open side-by-side on my 40".  I feel like I'd be pressed for space if I had a shorter display.

Then you are going to return the monitor without understanding it. The blooming is noticeable because of the grey background image is prone to show more miniLED blooming.

The monitor is brighter. You need to compare them side by side. PG32UQX has the less amount of blooming as PG35VQ does.

Also, the black on PG32UQX is blacker than both of them. PG32UQX actually has better image quality than PA32UCG because of G-sync. These two are similar but PG32UQX has less issues.

Here is a picture of a PA32UCG vs PG27UQ vs PG35VQ on black film dust background with white text. PG32UQX doesn't even have that 4x big haloing like PA32UCG does.

Like I said before, this place is a 3rd world country of monitors. People talk and talk without having them to compare. It's both funny and ridiculous.

42 inches is competely something else compare to 48 though, it's really fit a lot better but I get what you mean.

I do suggest you tried it out at some point still though, I went 43 inches and never look back (just need the army to make it to eyes lenght

Probably because I have a deck deep enough to (barely) support it but the productivity benefit and gaming is just well worth hassle of having to mount it on a monitor arm.

I've made my own deck as well so it can be as deep as I want but I can see people with a much smaller set up to find that uncomfortable (although I also have a friend who enjoy his mad 50 inch from a feet away)

But I don't like put monitor too deep and also no space to do that. I think more than 32" is never for me. 😅

I remember last time they is a YouTuber using 3x 55" TV as PC monitor. That is the most insane I ever seen. 😅

Then you can test how much ABL PG32UQX has.

Download and check the HDR photo in Windows HDR mode with the default Photo app.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cn72CyRg5MbDRURU-YQRx84i0yfMAbux/view?usp=sharing

https://drive.google.com/file/d/18wqc7gfomBzUtz4Qxk997K9nSMj79brE/view?usp=sharing

Only PA32UCG can sustain the brightness. PG32UQX made in later batch should become dimmer after 3 seconds.

@Stahlmann@Andrewtst @SidneyDean so got the ucg today, notable stuff

the blacks/grays are way better than the x27/pg35vq, the blooming is just as noticeable, bleeds into nearby zone

fans are off in sdr/p3/argb while it's on for p3 hdr/2020hdr, it gets really hot with hdr on(but no flickering like in some reviews, but i'm not gonna push it for now)

takes forever to switch inputs/refresh rates unlike the x27 and pg35vq, so gonna play on full screen windowed instead of dedicated full screen

using the default settings with slightly lowered brightness, gonna keep hdr off til i need it

dp* fixed it somehow at 12bit 120hz but still wouldnt detect it as hdr, tried different cables/drivers, hdmi 2.1 works flawlessly 4k/120/12bit RGB

noticeable ghosting on dense vegetation in stray, spinning candle in witcher 3, bottom left (as hub tested) seems to be the weakest but not a deal breaker for me, moved the monitor slightly to the left compared to the x27

1week update: minor bending on grays in the corners, the fan only turns on in hdr, i switch between argb sdr and rec2020 hdr (only using it movies and certain games) with slightly lowered brightness

argb in a dark room looks visibly better than other argb moniors i've used (nec pa, x27, and slightly better the the AW3423DW), likely due to FALD and better coverage.

I doubt you have PA32UCG. Only SDR black is optimized. Grey cannot be optimized due to the characteristics of miniLED.

I believe this is the best HDR output monitor, 1600 nits, VESA HDR1400 certified, True 10-bit panel, 1152 local dimming zone, color profile store in monitor, Dolby Vision!!! (first time I seen monitor (not TV as monitor) support Dolby Vision) and etc.

My dream 4K monitor.

But it is way out from my budget, it cost RM 16k (3.6k USD) in my country...  I absolutely can't afford it, 😅 Congratulations, do more review on it later. 😊

it's just a monitor man, no need to be elitest about it, just some quick observations from an hour of usage

i had the contrast turned up a bit on the x27 because the bleed would affect the blacks and grays

You still have no idea it's a professional monitor that is not optimized for gaming at all.

Check with you, did Dolby Vision work? Need any software or driver?

I try connect to my LG C9 but I still unable to on Dolby Vision in Windows 11, I can't find any option in Windows 11 also.

All Streaming platform, for example only detect HDR10 as well, they is no option to pick Dolby Vision.

dolby vision is grayed out, maybe it'll work from a console, ill test with a ps5 on monday (short on hdmi cables), guessing it's an os/firmware issue

I do found an Extensions from Dolby Laboratories but the rating is so bad and mostly said not working. I did try last time not work also. 😅

Not going to try again as I just fresh install Windows 11 last few weeks. 😅

You can't found this app directly search the Microsoft Store but you will found it from google. I think Dolby is silently take it out. 😅
