PWM PST case fans need a Splitter to work?

Firstly can someone explain how Pressure Sharing technology works?

Second, does it need me to buy a PWM 3 way splitter for 3 Fans?

you plug in fans, and they work.

If they're arctic fans (guessing by the name) they have pigtails to daisy chain fans, and 3 on one plug will be fine.

PST: "PWM sharing technology".

With Arctic's PST fans, you can plug one end of a fan to single motherboard header and connect up to 3 fans by using 2 more PST fans. You dont have to use it any different than any other fan. It just allows you to connect couple fans together instead of needing a splitter or more headers.

The speed of P12 PWM PST can be adjusted using PWM signal from the motherboard. Please follow this procedure to adjust the settings on your motherboard.

You can control several fans from one unique header using the integrated PST extension however, we recommend to limit the number of fans per header to 5 as the current may be limited to 1.0 A per header (please refer to your motherboard manual). The speed monitoring will be done on the first fan in the daisy-chain.

To control more than 5 fans from one unique header, we recommend you to use the ARCTIC Case Fan Hub. Its external SATA power will circumvent the header current limitation.
