Use only old Minecraft music in 1.18.2

Kanna

I'm just looking to see if anyone knows a way to exclude the new Minecraft songs and only having the old ones. I saw some stuff online but it was either old or it wasn't working, so if anyone has some ideas please drop them here

Simplest would be to just make a resource pack, and delete the new songs in it?

But my knowledge comes from minecraft 1.7.10 days, but I don't think they have changed resource packs much after that.

You might be also able to find Minecraft classic resource packs, which will have the old textures, sounds and songs.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

I thought about that but then I would need a texture pack with the files, will look into it more

I know it works if you replace them but if you delete them outright maybe there'll just be silence when they normally would play? not sure, but try

OP could duplicate the original ones in place of the new ones.

OP would also have to change the file that tells it for how long to play each. That's a problem I ran into when trying to do something similar for myself. I forget exactly where it is or what it's called but your songs will either have a lot of silence at the end or get cut off since it doesn't play to the end of the song, it plays to the time defined in that file (at least for bedrock on pc)
