How do I wall mount my new LG Ultragear?

Aaralli

I know the basics of putting on a wall mount, but I can't figure out how to take off the screw mount for the standard monitor stand at the bottom of the back there... This is an LG Ultragear 32GN600-B.

I'd probably just use something to pry it off, if you've removed the screws.

There should also be a wall mount plate for it.

I'm talking about the lower part there. It's just sticking out of the bottom of the back of the panel...

I have 3x of these....2 of them side by side. As far as I know you cannot take that off. Only a dual arm stand worked for me.

I have the same monitor as well and I ended up using a desk clamp mount instead of a wall mount due to this.

Technically you could mount a small 2x4 on your wall then mount the wall bracket to that. It would give enough room for the metal piece to not hit the wall but then your monitor would be further off the wall.

That is not removable. It's like that on virtually every LG panel. It shouldn't affect your mounting, jus bring it out from the wall.

Not at all, just look at the GL850-b. Same housing but the connection point of the stand is at the vesa mount and it's incredibly easy to remove.

OP's monitor looks like a newer model and I assume it's been changed to remove some of the bulk that existed at the back with older models but it just creates more problems when you go to solve that problem yourself.

Why not just remove the screws?

The screws are only in there so I don't lose them. They don't hold that piece to the monitor itself, they hold the desk base to that mount.

Put them in a plastic bag and tape it to the back of the monitor. It's what I do.
