Question to members of the UK

I'm not sure when exactly, but I'll soon have enough money to build a replacement rig for my 11 year old system. However, looking at PcPartPicker, several of the components are cheapest at eBuyer. However, after checking quite a lot of reviews, there is a variety of mixed feed back. And by mixed, I mean half 5-stars and half 1-star reviews.

 

So, has anyone here purchased from them recently. And if so, how was the service in your opinion?

I've purchased from them before. Never had any problems. I would recommend them.

Hardware retailer like any other... Until they can deliver what you order in one piece at a good price then it should be fine.

There will always be some idiot who puts a false review in because they where to stupid to get it to work and automatically blame the product. (of course there is the odd time a product is faulty but Ebuyer are good with the RMA's) so yeah go ahead :)

I bought a few of my components from them, good site from what I've seen.

(Case, CPU £250~ value)

 

Also contacted them when Case fan got a tick and received a quick reply.

 

If I was to give them one downside, it would be the site can be a bit weird. Missing descriptions, duplicated items with one being cheaper and a few other small things. But no problems with actual orders from them.

love them, thier free 5 working day delivery is awesome, usually arrives in 3 working days, the only time it was late I ordered a hard drive caddy and they sent me out 2!, unfortuneately it wasnt 7970's....

scan are good too, bit cheaper, charge postage on EVERYTHING but have a wider selection. im wondering if thier "scansure" thing is just a ploy to charge more and if you dont buy it and its damaged they might just refuse to warrant it and might blame you (currently awaiting a gtx480 thats probably a refurb, took out insurance just in case)

amazon, ebuyer, scan, great companies.

edit; fwiw from all 3 over the last 2 years ive probably spend a few hundred pounds on systems for people, probably around £300 from ebuyer, £200 from amazon and £100 from scan, give or take, im not the type to just buy "a bit here and a bit there" once in a while...

I've built a few rigs for myself and friends from ebuyer, never had a problem with them. Their next day delivery is perfect imo, especially if you're as impatient as me.

I've had a coupple of thing from them, my HD 7850 was from them came really quickly too.

 

I preffer Scan but as has been mentioned its £5 postage no matter what from them.

I got one of my monitors from them and had no problems. I normally buy my stuff either from shop.bt.com as they accept returns years after your brought something without any questions and also amazon.
