Are there any free software that will actually recover a formatted partition for free

i accidentally formatted my hard drive to FAT32 from NTFS(i wanted to format a usb with a similar name both extra storage) i need a truly free tool that can recover my hdd not one that will give me some extortion popup at the last second is there an FOS or just free software that will let me recover the disk i have several important files and save games on it that dont have a backup yet 

 

yes i do backup but my nas has been down for about 2 months because a raid disk was bad and i could not afford the replacement so to save the backup i took it offline

I use recuva, and while it is quite slow, it does work. But for future reference as the old saying goes, back up or shut up. The 3-2-1 rule shall never be ignored. I also never ever save a file in one location, because what that means is that if ive only saved it once, i dont really mind if it isnt there when i come back for it later, which begs the question, why have i bothered to save it in the first place.

MiniTool Partition Wizard Free (i have useed the 9.1) have a tool for recovering deleted partition tables with files and all, if you do not write any data to it. 
Like all the data is there, you just need to rewrite the partition table again, the same as it was before. 
And there's even a bootable version

It's a blessing if the HDD suddenly is in raw, or pendrive. It's very fast to (just fast scan, pick the right partition that from the one that i find as possibilities and it's done under a minute). 

There are like 2 more free programs with the same UI and the same capability.
