Ryzen 5800X overheating and PC shutoff

I recently got a Asus Prime X570-pro and a Ryzen 5800X for my PC. However every time I try to use my PC it shuts off in less than 3 minutes because of overheating. I have a Corsair H100iV2 cooling the processor but I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.54262ED6-A41F-4020-8EBE-FFF97D70B964.thumb.jpeg.8c6d22306d50d22b7bbc4ae31ad3c825.jpeg

I see that your BIOS isn't seeing an AIO pump. Make sure that the AIO is plugged into a pump header.

You want AIO_PUMP

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Check the mount, the pump rpm is shown under CPU fan and seems to be running so i'd be checking the mount for sure.

I had runs with the AIO_PUMP before but I just plugged it in again to try it again. Still rising temperatures. 5A4ED9F3-5B46-4215-9849-BF376C25300E.thumb.jpeg.23107c02235031297c5841f5670543af.jpeg

I would make sure you're using the correct standoffs and check mounting pressure.

This is how I have it on right now. I tried to wiggle it a bit and it’s on there tight.  I know it’s a little scuffed with only the two screws but I got it second hand lol. I didn’t have any issues with my 1700X, does the 5800X just put out that much more heat in comparison?DDFB2788-89F2-44D0-B0F5-D99FB59FA04E.thumb.jpeg.769b026cf22014d2e4b7557ff28614de.jpeg

While I’m only using 2 (one in the top left and one in the bottom right) these are the mounting pieces I’m using.

I’m only using 2 because I got the cooler from my buddy back in 2017, he got it before AM4 mounting was a thing. We found if we did it this way we could still get it to fit.

So it's not mounted correctly.

Easy "test" you could do is to lay the PC on it's back and push on the AIO. You're missing half your mounting pressure though.

Try checking with a local computer repair shop.  Don't know where you're located, but where I am, if I need some screws for something computer related, I just check with my local repair shop.  They have buckets of screws to go thru with no cost.  In fact, now I have buckets of screws to go thru.  They're just happy to get rid of them.  Now I must have four or five buckets of screws all computer related.  I'm in California if that makes a difference, as I said, don't know where your located but good luck.

I think the core problem is that that AIO didn't came with proper bracket for AM4.
So the 4 screw holes probably don't line up well

His buddy got that AIO before AM4 I think, then gave it to him at 2017

Anyway, the additional AM4 retention bracket for his AIO is $5 from corsair store.

Yup, it looks like pressure was the issue. I laid my PC down, set it back up, then laid it down again. I’m sure you can tell what points I did what just by looking at the graph lol. 57CA4CC4-0CA7-48B0-B4D6-C9FA5C1F6253.thumb.jpeg.1cd137b77d78adda73f0316fb0aa7f91.jpeg
