Haven't tested it. Will when I get Debian to a point of "I don't have to reset it anymore." point. Can't reboot the machine with those plugged in. Debian locks up after the Grub loader.

But the vets who have read/watched thousands usually don't answer the new questions or threads. They just usually hang out on specific  threads/megatreads(similar to this thread). I for one rarely answer new threads.

 

Plus that's what they recommend since it's popular, easy to get into and just plain good. Most of them probably assume that you're still new to this thing

 

Meanwhile the rating system would be anything under 7 is bad or caters to a very specific audience.

 

The reviews are the good ones IMO, specially for hentai.

That doesn't necessarily excuse it, though. Being generic isn't a problem in and of itself, unless you do nothing at all to stand out from the crowd. At that point, there's no need to recommend you over all the other stuff you're the same as. In fact I try to refrain from using the word generic entirely, and just say how I feel something stands out from its contemporaries. It's getting harder and harder to do that, sadly, and it's not even just because "I've seen too many anime".

It definately doesn't, because the creators know that it's generic. But it's nothing major imo, worth pointing out but that's it. And the reason they keep being succesful is because they DO have something that make them stand out.

 

With key anime you have different ways that make you feelsy, so i don't see the same scenes over and over.

 

In owari no seraph type of anime you have lots of moments that you see on other anime like:

 

MC and strong dude fight, suddenly they become best friends, but they keep fighting.

Group of characters, 3 boys 2 girls, both will probably be in love with MC. One of the boys is a weak, pussy dude

MC is amazingly OP and has some hidden super power

And you get the idea. That's why i call it generic, but the first episode and stuff that happens later make them interesting to watch and kinda stand out a bit, it's also just a 1st season and i like to refer to both seasons as 1 unless one of them is good and the other1 is shit.

How do I upgrade/downgrade to the latest stable build of CM12 for OPO?

Most builds have a built in updater(or something) but you do need a auto-update capable recovery mod.

Otherwise youd have to download the old build manually and then flash it manually again

Hentai is different though ART, SOUND, and an Insight to the plot(the real plot not the PLOT) are all very important.

This is just a difference of degrees. You're still personally more willing to watch Key do the same thing over and over, because it feels different enough to you. But they're fundamentally the same kind of thing. At the end of the day, you're still watching the same kinds of characters do the same kinds of things in the same kinds of ways, with the same kinds of slapstick comedy and the same kinds of sad music, ultimately just to get to some dramatic plot twist.

It's like M. Night Shyamalan movies, except Key's works aren't deteriorating in quality quite as quickly, and I wouldn't say they had the same high bar to fall from.

Of course if you look hard enough, you'll see that all "generic" anime are quite different in the details - just not in the important ways. To me the important part of a show isn't the payoff, it's the buildup. And Key anime are just like Seraph to me in that regard - similar generic-feeling stuff over and over, to get to the action scene/emotional scene/whatever. With Key, sometimes it's a mutants, sometimes it's a crows, sometimes it's people in purgatory. With stuff like Seraph, sometimes it's vampires, sometimes it's aliens, and sometimes it's superpowers. Perhaps the payoffs for Key anime are sufficiently different enough compared to the payoffs in shounen anime, but again: I don't care about the payoff if the buildup doesn't seem worth experiencing.

3d rendering reasons, for the most part I've been using blender but I'd probably perma switch to 3ds since it would have awesome Iray plugins catered to maxwell quadros

Me and my gf found it absolutely hilarious but anyway it has no real direction and although I could bond with one or two characters it was kinda dumb. I think it you need something to laugh then it fits the bill it's no way supposed to be serious and I enjoyed the art. I loved the instructions and demonstration on how to make your own sex toy!!! LMFAO might give it a go with the gf for giggles! You must be dead inside if you didn't crack a smile at it?

 

Just finished episode 12 of SAO and the feels went from 0-100 real quick.

So I just finished Charlotte. I need to rant. Don't click the spoiler unless you've watched all of Charlotte or are okay with reading some spoilers.

 

Charlotte was one of my most hyped animes for the summer anime season. It lived up to the hype. It was funny and interesting. Everything was going fine and dandy, until Otosaka's sister died. They should have kept the story going from there, but no, they just had to pull some bullshit out of their ass where Otosaka can now magically take away other people's abilities and then brings his little sister back by time travel. Ya know, that was bullshit, but I'll let that slide, just barely. 

 

Another thing that irked me was Tomori's and Otosaka's love relationship, which developed over a whole....1 episode. Ridiculous. Should have been spanned across the entire series or at least the last 2 or 3 episodes. Again, that really irked me, but I'll let it slide, barely.

 

No, what really got me was the last episode. I am infuriated that they wrapped up everything in 1 episode. Otosaka's mission was to travel the world and take everybody's abilities before the Charlotte comet came back. Okay, ya know, that plan was already ridiculous to begin with, but whatever. I'll let it slide. I was expecting a season 2, where it shows Otosaka traveling the world and taking people's abilities. I was hoping for it to get fleshed out. That would have been a really cool story arc! But No, let's just wrap it up in 1 episode. What bullshit. One of the worst endings to an anime I've ever seen. 

 

Charlotte's story line took a sharp downward spiral faster than Volkswagen's stock price. So infuriated that it turned out the way it did.

 

yeah, the ending was ridiculously lame. that alone made the entire show trash to me. i don't even care if there are redeeming qualities. 

 

So tomorrow I'll probably start watching Psycho-Pass, even though my free time is over. Reading the synopsis got me interested and people give it pretty good reviews. Any objections?

 

I'd read those tomorrow though, because I'm too tired right now and I need some sleep. I have a feeling that I'll have a ton of notifications when I wake up.

 

Psycho-pass is really good. prepare for some critical thinking on your part. i think there's a few film adaptations that condenses the main anime a bit but go for the anime first. 

s2 is nowhere near as good as s1. 

the film matched s1 so that was great. unfortunately you need to know what happened in s2 in order to understand the film.

 

Key anime ending in disappointment?

 

All I've heard about it as of lately was piles of disappointment, possible aggressive love in one of the later episodes, and then more disappointment.

To me the humor plain unfunny. I skimmed through a few episodes and let it roll through it now and then. Terribly drab, basically slapstick, but instead of pies we're using dildos, underwear, and nymphos.

 

I just fail to see what exactly is funny in it. The jokes verbal jokes weren't good either. Maybe they're punny in jp and don't translate, but I saw basically zero comedy in it.

 

I get that they're going for ridiculous situations, but it came off as pure stupidity. If there was any humor beyond that, then it didn't register. I often found myself waiting for punchlines that never showed up.

5/10 means slightly below average for me, not bad, but less than 50% enjoyable, essentially. I am not a fan of blue comedy (sexual innuendo) as I find it infantile, but contrary to that, it still did get some giggles at times due to sheer try-hardness.

Everything you listed is why it was funny but you kinda watched it with your serious hat on which is fine, it won't be for everyone but I found it and might I add my gf found it hilariously funny. Sometimes you need a good slapstick laugh and it fits the bill perfectly fine imo. It would of made a fairly decent serious anime with a bit of tweaks here and there but that's besides the point, it isn't meant to be.
