Are there any modern PS/2 connected mechanical keyboard?

FOr reasons I simply cannot fathom, PS/2 connectors still exist. Does anyone still make keyboards for that port? Mechanical/TKL/or backlit preferred

I remember mechanical keyboards coming with USB to PS/2 adapters around the time I was buying my first one almost ten years ago. 

 

A search on Amazon does turn up a surprising number of PS/2 keyboards - but they're all extremely cheap membrane stuff.

The only keyboards i could think of that would still have it would be older Cherry MX boards that have Cherry black keys.

 

You could check if you can get one for cheap on ebay, then remove all switches and replace them with switches you want, [warning you might have to remove and re-solder every switch]

USB and PS2 are not too hard to adapt

Of course for mouse with this one but it's pretty much the same for keyboard

I know, the adapters have been around for ages, but it seems clunky, inelegant, I was simply curious if anything nice was being made for the port.

I can only say that with my keyboard (SteelSeries 6GV2), you only get true NKRO with PS2. Otherwise it is like 8keys I think. It should be fine, but it ain't. I had a better experience on PS2. That was a weird one to figure out.

I know of no one that wants or needs a ps2 keyboard/mouse.  And I'm confident that anyone who "prefers" it is being a contrarian just for the sake of being different.  Why would you be mashing 8+ keys simultaneously?  Why would your cpu be so underpowered that polling rate concerns have a discernible impact on your experience? 

 

IMHO, ps2 should have been permanently binned around the time AGP died off.  And yet, here we are.

DVI deserves to live. DP is newer, higher bandwidth and a bit more adaptable but DVI can be split into almost as much as DP... and 90% of GPUs and monitors have it

For no good reason.  We gonna bring back Game Port and the DA-15 while we're being silly?  Bring back PCI (no -E)?  I know, let's bring back crossover cables.

I meant older GPUs and monitors. Like, 90% of the total amount of GPUs/monitors out there. 

 

And why not AGP as well?

Seeing as how HDMI came out in 2002 and DP came out in 2006, I feel we're pretty safe if we rip off the band-aid and decide that after 15 years+ that DVI needs to go away.

 

It's not like adapters won't still continue to exist anyways.  Lord knows my work PC has DP>DVI>HDMI monitors.  But DVI shouldn't be a thing on new stuff.
