are the FE gpu's still being made/sold? when did you get yours?

jwwagner25

some youtuber uploaded a video yesterday saying they had a 'hack' for getting GPU's at MSRP, the one they highlighted was a 3080TI which had 'MSRP' of almost $1700. Last I checked the starting price for 3080 was $700; could the TI model be worth twice the amount? My real question is, considering the FE models are the only ones which didn't see insane MSRP increases, are they still being made or sold? If you bought yours significantly later than release date, please do tell. Thanks

That seems suspicious.

Edit: misunderstanding in my part....

It doesn't, unless you're talking about CAD.

IIRC they're available exclusively through BestBuy. They're still getting stock.

This is for Canada, you'd have to see if the same is for the US.

In the US, FEs are only sold new through Best Buy and have been for nearly a year now. They are all MSRP.

I got my 3090 FE from them during an online drop back in January.

You really don’t stand a chance at scoring one unless you are in a stock discord, signed up for notifications and are ready at your PC when the drop happens.

thanks for that. did you get one?

Nope, I don't live in one of the few cities that's getting shipments, and I'm pretty fine with my current setup.

There was a huge online drop this past Friday and I scored a card for a buddy. Definitely not.

The cards are gone in minutes and really, unless you're in some of the large stock discords most people don't even know they happen.

if you want better hash and have the money, any 3090 sku (as far as I understand) doesnt have a limiter

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)
