Need help to buy a GPU, that won't bottleneck and also support 1440p gaming with 165hz refresh rate.

Don't know that much on how to upgrade a pc. With my current specs, many have said that if I buy a RTX 3060 or 3070, I can't play games at 165hz with 1440p, it will bottleneck.
I have posted on some forums, but people won't say that much. They comment, and if ask any question I don't get an answer. Please if you can comment with details, it would help me a lot.

My target is to get the latest GPU if possible, with that in mind, what pc parts should I change to avoid bottlenecking and also I can game at 165hz with 1440p without any worries?
If you recommend a new processor, rather than going on intel I also want to switch to Ryzen as well. Please be specific with details and logic so that I can understand it as well. Thank you.

My PC Specs -
Processor- Intel(R) i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz
RAM- DDR4 32 GB (8*4 sticks) 2400Mhz
Motherboard - tuf b360m-plus gaming
Corsair VS450W PSU (Will change this PSU as
Gigabyte 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD+1TB HDD

@Gohardgrandpa I don't game much often as I don't have a GPU. Probably going to play casual games and also multiplayer shooting games.

Casual games/Single player games: Spiderman[2018], Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales [2020], God of War 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of duty Modern Warfare [2019], call of duty black ops cold war, Ghost of Tsushima, death stranding, or any other single campaign story mode game.

Multiplayer games: (COD Warzone, World War Z, Battlefield V etc).

Never actually bought a  GPU, this will be my first time. Therefore I don't want to get stuck with bottleneck or low resolution as well. Just really want something that's within my budget and a proper solution to this.

Bf2042 at 1440p high settings is demanding. I couldn't get 144fps with a 3070 at that res at high settings.

Now if your gonna play siege, pub g, Apex, valorant, cs go, rogue company or Halo  you should be able to get close to that fps with a 3070.

for your requirements you need a 3080ti, but then the cpu and ram becomes a problem.

you could just aim 3060ti/3070 and just take whatever that gives u

Just a warning, many of those are you listed are ps4/5 exclusive, and for any that are on pc you will have to rebuy them.

You can play around with settings but to get anything that's computationally similar to a ps5 you probably would need something like an rtx 3060, rx 6600 xt, rx 5700 xt, or rtx 2080.

Honestly, if you want mouse and keyboard support you should see if the games you play support it. Some games do have console keyboard and mouse support, and all you have to do is plug them in and use them. I'm pretty sure call of duty cold war supports it, but I don't think any battle field games do.

Looking at your system I suspect that is where the bottleneck will be and not the GPU.

Thanks everyone for your valuable opinion. Looks like I will have to buy a good gpu and will have to upgrade my pc so that I can avoid bottleneck.
