what is the Msrp for this GPU

Does it matter? All graphics cards are overpriced and you won't find them for MSRP anyway.

The 3080ti MSRP was $1199. Those Asus Strix OC cards always have a pretty steep premium over the reference/founders cards so likely somewhere around $1300-$1500.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

If you're gonna go by Micro Center prices, just go on their websites and look for that card. At the MC closest to me, the STRIX card is $2000.

https://www.microcenter.com/product/637877/asus-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-rog-strix-overclocked-triple-fan-12gb-gddr6x-pcie-40-graphics-card

Just get whatever you can get for a GPU, a 3080Ti is gonna perform within 5% of pretty much any other 3080Ti. If you can get an EVGA card for $1400 rather than $2k, do that.

I don't have a microcenter, but for some items i've heard you can only buy in store, that way microcenter can price them lower.

Asus strix is a good card, although as mentioned it does a have a premium over founders cards, and sometimes other brands.

It's the same. Their online prices are the prices of the products in store, it's just that you can't buy them online.

I got my 3080 from them back in March, and I paid $840, and the site said it cost $840.

Wages are up, shipping costs are up, tariffs and Inflation. I doubt you will see stuff like that near MSRP any more.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

well you have a asus motherboard

Good comeback. It came in a POS asus prebuilt that I bought to get a rtx 3070 this year. I just edited my sig, I swapped it out monday of this week. I've emailed asus numerous times about a bios update for the board but they put a custom bios on it because it's a prebuilt, I've heard nothing back from them about it.

Why?

Heard that being said about a few brands over the years but pretty much never have those claims been backed up with examples.

I RMA'd stuff with ASUS and MSI in the last ~5 years never had any issues with either of them.

As for the GPU I don't know what the actual MSRP for that thing is but if I remember correctly ASUS own online shop (in Germany) had it around launch day for about ~1800€. So I guess that is the MSRP these days. If you take the 3080 non Ti as an example the MSRP under normal supply conditions would probably be somewhere around 1400 to 1500$ or € (even though € has a better value prices don't reflect that and MSRP is the same number € and in $).

I got my card for ~1450€ a month ago as an amazon warehouse deal where it was advertised as new but damaged (which it isn't, the box just had been opened before but it works as intended). So with some luck you might find a good deal on amazon or somewhere else you just need to look for it. I was checking multiple sites at least twice a day since January for a variety of GPUs and wasn't even looking for that specific card but I saw the price and couldn't pass it up as the actual new price at that time was ~2199€.

You're wrong.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
