Forum is giving a 'TLS handshake with fonts.gstatic.com' message indefinantly

Sarra

Firefox browser. If I click to the forum home page, the 'tls handshake' message appears, and stays there for hours and hours and hours, even overnight, and the 'loading' status for the page stays on.

That has nothing to do with this forum. It just uses a font from Google Fonts. Your computer connects directly with Google's servers to get it. Considering it's Google, it's not likely an issue on their end, especially since it's not causing problems for others, like myself. Google Fonts are used across thousands if not millions of websites across the Internet, so if there was a widespread issue, you'd hear about it.

Likely, there's something broken in your version of Firefox and/or Windows. Most websites will only accept TLS 1.3 now, so if you're running something like Windows 7 still, you'll have this issue a lot.

In any case, not LTT's problem.

Yep. I fixed this by disabling my VPN and hitting the refresh button while on the forums.
