Makes sense to me. If they're able to get production capacity for these, and nothing else, at least they're making something.

But they can't. Otherwise they would. People will still buy these, and frankly, be pretty happy.

RIGHT?! Scalpers are going to still buy it out, because they know people are going to want it... and parents will pay extra to get it. Just increase production on the RTX 30 series cards... Why even- Wow... Did no one tell them scalpers don't care about what series cards they scalp? They're scalping GTX 1650's and GTX 1660 SUPER's for crying out loud...

I mean if they re-released the 2060 at ~$250 or less it would be welcome.

But they won't.

Totally agree with @Mel0nMan. Stop trying to make old cards new just make more of the cards people actually WANT! Is that too hard to understand?

Ah yes, if only Jensen would just snap his fingers and make more 8nm fab capacity pop into existence out of thin air.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

It's like you don't understand lack of supply, or something 🤔 If they could, they would.

i dont think people want a 2060 with 12gb of ram other than machine learning. i think if they rerelease it with 8 or even 6gb for less $ people would enjoy that more.

They are basically re-releasing products that will no doubt use similar supply, so they should focus those supplies on the current gen. I don't even care, because I'm done upgrading for a long time hopefully. I just think they should put all their chips in with the 30 series, and just continue to re-release what they have re-released already. No one wants a 2060, especially if they can't get it for MSRP. It's 1000x easier to get a gtx 1660 super / Ti... sadly not for MSRP, but Newegg restocks frequently.

No, they don't. 2060 cards are based on a 12nm process, 3000 series cards are based on an 8nm process.

Saying no one wants a 2060 is simply factually incorrect. It's a very strong 1080p card, which is what most people are playing at.

Something I'm wondering, is if the reason there is a huge void in the graphics card market is because the chip makers can't get and process enough silicon into dies, will manufacturers shifting their efforts to older product lines be able to make a dent in the supply deficit of the graphics card market? I'm personally doubting it. Instead, it just means that the cards everyone wants will just be that much harder to find, while the older cards will still command the premium price until the makers manage to spin up enough facilities to fill the demand.
