Ok so got a question, Is it possible to run a single pc and split into 2 let's say by each taking half the resources? I'm running a Asus Prime x570 mobo, with a 3700x, 16gb ram, a 3070 gpu, and RM850 psu,

Want to split galactic civ into 2 instances to play with a friend with ought having to hopefully buy a whole new computer.

Some games have split screen mode, If game doesn't have such mode 2nd monitor will be required.

Older games should work just fine, but don't expect to run modern stuff twice on single GPU.

Have not tried aster, but 30 day free trial sounds interesting, especially if RunAsDate will allow extending it.

What about using a virtual machine?

You need gpu passthrough to be ble to game, so you cant do it on windows, so you need linux, and to passthrough to windows one of the gpus

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

If your fine with remote desktop, you can use hyper-v to split up your gpu.  Craft computing has a guide linked here:

. Just skip the build to get to the tutorial.  If you don't have a windows 10 pro license you can use this guide to get hyper-v on win10 home https://www.itechtics.com/enable-hyper-v-windows-10-home/ That way if you have a chromebook or something you can use parsec to remote into that VM and play games together.  Just make sure to allocate your ram properly since civ can take up a lot of ram.
