Cpu going up to more than 4 ghz without overclocking

Hello,i have a ryzen 5 3600 and for some reason,it goes up to more than 4 ghz,even tho i didint overclock,how do i fix this? The reason is because I keep thermal throttling,so help is appreciated

4.2ghz is the stock max boost clock on a 3600. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Yes, as was said 4.2Ghz is where that CPU will boost to on its own. If you have thermal throttling issues with the CPU at stock, you need to reevaluate your CPU cooler situation or case airflow significantly.

The cooler that comes with that CPU is terrible. I've done 3 builds with that CPU and changed the cooler every time. 

 

A cheap cm 212 Evo is a huge improvement, or get a wraith prism online for dirt cheap

No cpu mobo or ram atm

The Wraith Stealth isn't great. It's better than what Intel includes with their CPU's. It shouldn't let a 3600 thermal throttle unless case air flow is really bad. @Shittygamingsince2009what case do you have?
