Question about the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB

This is likely the card I would get, if I needed to buy one while prices are sky high and demand is ridiculous. Assuming it becomes available, do you have any advice on which manufacturer to buy from? Zotac, EVGA, ASUS, MSI, Gigabye, there are a lot of folks that make this card, and I don't really know the difference.

From what I've seen, there's not much difference. Each does a slightly different take on their cooler design, but otherwise pretty similar across the board. Normally by this point, you'd have more variation in the market, but because of the shortage, all the manufacturers are basically only selling their top end models.

I personally go after EVGA. They have great designs, some of the best coolers and technology out there (icx) and have the best warranty support in the business should you need it.

I'd rather look at specific models instead. Every company make good and bad models that apart from sharing the GPU and memory, can differ in cooler and PCB affecting their performance, noise and temperatures.

Eh, not so much on 30 series. They have one of the most downcosted PCBs on premium models (3080 FTW3 Ultra) and recently they have problems with Amazon's New World game. Good warranty service is good, but not needing to use it is better

This is true, but we still don't definitively know the cause of the New World issue and according to sources out there, not just JayzTwoCents, the New World problem was affecting more than just the EVGA 3090 FTW3 cards.

I went from a 1080 FTW 2+ to a 2080 Ti Strix years ago  and the difference in temperature at the same noise level was considerable (with the Strix taking the cake here). EVGA has the best warranty, but I wouldn't say that for the cooler.
