Project Idea. Convert old Cell Phones into Home Phones?

Yes everyone has a cell now and landlines are blah!
But is there a way to convert old Cells into home phones? Like Nextel i780 or Nokias? Not old smart phones as those would be easy. But the Gen between smart phones and bricks. 

Curious Something nostalgic. 

Set up a home VoIP server or buy an old cell radio. 

1 major upgrade would be USB-C chargers versus the old.

yes they both go vroom and accomplish the same general goal of taking things between two points, but they’re entirely different machines

I figured but tech recycling is showing stuff I never thought of didn't think it hurt to ask.
