What exactly do you mean by disabled? Did you just buy this phone from somewhere like eBay? Did you find it? Did you already own it for some time and it just now got "disabled"?

None, I'm fixing it for someone I know and they gave it to me like this. They've had this iPhone repaired before and now they've broken it again and giving it to me to repair. They also want me to fix this issue. Also, I've found a way around it. I simply just put it into recovery mode and iTunes detected it. Now it's being updated and hopefully won't have to restore it so I won't lose data. Thanks for trying to help.

I have this iPhone 8 Plus I’m trying to unlock with iTunes and it does not seem to connect to my computer. My computer’s juice is not the issue as I tried another device and it even supports fast charging! The phone does charge from a power adapter connected to the wall socket but does not charge from the computer. There are also no signs of the computer detecting it. However if powered off it will turn itself on if connected to the computer. Any way of fixing this issue?

Have you tried the cable with a different iPhone or a different cable with the iPhone? The data pins or wires could be damaged in the cable, which might still allow the cable to pass power, but not data.

I did try another cable but not another iPhone. I'll try that in a little bit.

Yeah I tried it with my laptop which is the only other computer I have and no luck.

if neither cable works(and your sure the cables work), and the iphone won't connect to the the laptop either, seems safe to say the issue is probably with the iphone. try cleaning out the charger port, might be dirt or corrosion causing an issue. otherwise, could be faulty port, or other internal issues.

I tried it with another iPhone and it connected to iTunes just fine. It seems like this is an issue with the phone but what could the exact issue be? The charging port? An issue on the board? The iPhone is disabled if you didn't know already and the only way to fix that is by connecting it to iTunes.

Could be either one of those, or a different problem. There's no way to tell for sure without more information and diagnosing.
